NEW YORK—Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano met on top of the Empire State Building with their trilogy bout just days away.

The boxing stars look to settle the score once and for all when they fight at Madison Square Garden on Friday. Taylor is currently up 2-0 in the series following two incredible back-and-forth contests, both of which could have won Fight of the Year.
In their first meeting in April 2022, Taylor squeaked out a split decision after 10 thrilling rounds to retrain her undisputed lightweight champion status. They rematched in November 2024, this time with Taylor defending her light welterweight titles, and again Taylor emerged victorious via a close unanimous decision (95-94 across the board).
The scoring in both fights was heavily scrutinized, with some believing it’s Serrano who should actually be up 2-0.
Taylor (24-1) once again defends her light welterweight championship against Serrano (47-3-1) in the headlining bout of Friday’s Most Valuable Promotions card, which features an all-women lineup. The event airs live on Netflix.
