Chase Hooper is heading to the Windy City to compete on another pay-per-view card.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a lightweight bout between Hooper and Alexander Hernandez is set for UFC 319. The event takes place at the United Center in Chicago. McGregorRousey2 first reported the bout on Twitter.
Hooper enters the bout on an impressive five-fight win streak since making the move from featherweight to the 155-pound division. “The Dream” kicked off his 2025 campaign with a unanimous decision victory against Jim Miller at UFC 314 in April. The 25-year-old has submitted three of his past four opponents.
Hernandez is set to make his 16th octagon appearance, and is on his first win streak since his first two fights in the UFC. In his last two bouts, “The Great Ape” earned decision wins against Austin Hubbard and Kurt Holobaugh.
UFC 319 is headlined by a highly-anticipated middleweight championship fight between Dricus du Plessis and the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.
