LAS VEGAS – Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev have made weight for Saturday’s UFC 313 headliner, clearing the way for their light heavyweight title fight to take place.
Pereira (12-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC) will attempt to make the fourth defense of his reign when he meets streaking contender Ankalaev (20-1-1 MMA, 11-1-1 UFC) in the main event at T-Mobile Arena (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPNews/Disney+, ESPN+).
Before both fighters can step into the cage, though, they had to step on the scale. Challenger Ankalaev was first to the scale and was 205 pounds during Friday’s official weigh-ins at the UFC Apex. Reigning titleholder Pereira hit 205, as well, when he came to the scale about 10 minutes into the session.
