This is the UFC 313 live blog for King Green vs. Mauricio Ruffy, the main card lightweight fight Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Green (32-16-1, 1 NC) makes his 27th UFC appearance and 50th (!) as a pro as he takes on the heavily favored Ruffy. The longtime veteran is coming off of a disappointing first-round triangle choke loss to Paddy Pimblett, the first time since 2009 King had lost by submission. He remains one of the trickiest matchups at 155 pounds and will need to put on a vintage performance to score the upset.
Another intriguing talent from The Fighting Nerds team, Ruffy (11-1) seeks the biggest win of his career if he can knock off Green. Ruffy has won six straight fights with a 2-0 mark in the UFC, including wins over James Llontop and Jamie Mullarkey.
