The upcoming Noche UFC 3 card expected in September is moving from its original location in Guadalajara, Mexico after construction on the arena there was not going to be completed in time.
With Guadalajara unavailable, the UFC shifted gears with the Noche UFC card moving to San Antonio instead with the event taking place at the Frost Bank Center on Sept. 13.
The news was announced during the UFC Vegas 107 broadcast on Saturday.
Rumors have swirled for weeks that the Noche UFC card could be moving after several other events expected to take place in Guadalajara had also moved off previously scheduled dates over concerns that the arena there wouldn’t be ready in time.
Now that’s officially confirmed with the UFC’s third annual celebration around Mexican Independence Day happening in Texas after the first two events took place in Las Vegas.
Originally, Noche UFC 3 was announced as UFC 320 but now the card is being promoted as a Fight Night event instead.
No fights have been announced for the card with the first Noche UFC 3 card headlined by a women’s flyweight title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso and then UFC 306 took place at the Sphere in Las Vegas with Merab Dvalishvili taking on Sean O’Malley in the main event.
