Written by The MMA will hold its spring series of Legislative Breakfast Meetings in Sharon, Pittsfield, Harwich, Clinton, Boxford and Montague.
The MMA’s Legislative Breakfast Meetings, held each spring and fall in communities across the Commonwealth, give local leaders, legislators and MMA staff an opportunity to network in an informal setting and learn about and discuss issues of importance at the local and state level.
The MMA’s Legislative Division staff will discuss the latest activity in the Legislature, and what the impact would be for cities and towns in the Commonwealth. Topics will include the revenue outlook, the Fiscal 2027 state budget, supplemental budgets, and key bills from the legislative session such as the Municipal Empowerment Act, environmental bond bill, energy affordability legislation, and the Chapter 90 program.
Municipal officials from every community are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to discuss issues of importance with MMA staff and legislators. Attendees are also urged to contact their local legislators and invite them to attend.
A light breakfast and coffee will be provided at 8:30 a.m., followed by presentations and Q&A. The meetings will end by 10:15 a.m.
