Daryosh Sanjar and Mahsun Sahzade at a Vendetta Fight Nights event in Ankara, Turkey | Vendetta Fight Night, YouTube
Welcome to the latest edition of Missed Fists where we shine a light on fights from across the globe that may have been overlooked in these hectic times where it seems like there’s an MMA show every other day.
A UFC-free weekend left plenty of room for regional and international promotions to shine and shine they did. Fight fans had plenty of unbelievable finishes to enjoy and we’ll get to those in a second, but first make sure you check out our own Guilherme Cruz’s deep dive into the best from Brazil’s MMA scene in a new feature we’re calling Brazilian Radar.
After you’ve caught up on all that (and we’ll share a couple of KOs from that piece here as well), hop into the latest Missed Fists, led off by the fastest finish you’ll see this year.
(Big thanks as always to @Barrelelapierna for their weekly lists of the best KOs and submissions, and to @Grabaka_Hitman for uploading many of the clips you see here. Give them a follow and chip in on Patreon if you can.)
Mahsun Sahzade vs. Daryosh Sanjar
At a Vendetta Fight Nights event in Ankara, Turkey, Mahsun Sahzade needed just two seconds to spin and win.
Admittedly, as we touched upon last week, this feels like the kind of fight that should come with a Tapology disclaimer (the fact that the event isn’t even listed on Tapology is… concerning), but far be it from us to cast aspersions on misters Sahzade and Sanjar, who I’m sure are fine, upstanding members of the MMA community.
It’s a pretty sweet head kick, so let’s not let any potential truths get in the way of a good story.
You can check out more free fights from Vendetta on their YouTube channel.
Bogdan Pshebelskiy vs. Tamerlan Khadzhimuradov
Amir Kadamov vs. Zhasurbek Rakhmanov
Mikhael Mamedov vs. Kadyrzhan Myrzagaliev
Octagon League was certainly busy this week, holding both a mainline event and an Octagon Selection event in Kazakhstan.
At Octagon League 73, Bogdan Pshebelskiy looked like he was having the time of his life before capping off his performance with a Peruvian necktie.
Seriously, Pshebelskiy looks like an absolute wild card and exactly the kind of fighter to just throw out a Peruvian Necktie when you least expect it.
At Octagon Selection 53, Amir Kadamov and Mikhael Mamedov also delivered devastating KOs.

Octagon League 73 and Octagon Selection 53 are both available for free on YouTube.
Shunsuke Miyabi vs. Taito Kubota
From a DEEP Tokyo Impact event this past Sunday:

I wasn’t sure whether to include this since the fight was really over before Shunsuky Miyabi’s final strike landed, but dude stomped on dude’s face. So yes, it’s included.
Ryan Geneus vs. Bryan Daviage
Jacobo Apito vs. Cole Cameron
I’m just going to say it…
Ryan Geneus HEADKICK!!!! pic.twitter.com/XNvvvn9b15
— Spectation Sports (@SpectationNet) May 25, 2025
Geneus strategy, sir!
That felt good.
Cage Titans 71 wasn’t all about cool names though as it also featured Jacob Apito doing this to Cole Cameron.
Jacobo Apito just started the main card with HELLBOWS!!! Massive R1 KO!!! pic.twitter.com/R6bl9JMmmW
— Spectation Sports (@SpectationNet) May 25, 2025
Sheer elbow annihilation.
Christopher Bajo vs. Ali Isajew
Wait, did someone say HELLBOWS?
WHAT AN ELBOW!!! #FCR24 pic.twitter.com/xPNnU1kPg5
— UFC FIGHT PASS (@UFCFightPass) May 24, 2025
Christopher Bajo dropped some of those at a Fight Club Rush event in Malmo, Sweden, making Ali Isajew pay for not even attempting to defend himself.
Fight Club Rush 24 is available for replay on UFC Fight Pass, as is this next cluster of events.
Rangel dos Santos vs. Jesus Herreras
Eric Nolan vs. Blayne Richards
Nick Galanti vs. Shane Sobnosky
Busurman Zhumagul vs. Dean Sherry
Joseilton Santos vs. Carlos Petruzzella
Rangel dos Santos went airborne to score this beautiful switch knee knockout at Fusion FC 90 in Lima, Peru.
WOW. Rangel dos Santos DESTROYS undefeated Jesus Herreras with a beautiful switch flying knee in 40 seconds. #FFC90 pic.twitter.com/bQMWxiNuIC
— caposa (@Grabaka_Hitman) May 24, 2025
Making this finish even more spectacular is that his opponent Jesus Herreras was 8-0 heading into this contest and dos Santos isn’t exactly known for his knockout power. This was just the third KO/TKO of dos Santos’ 17-fight career and his first since 2019.
Next up, big shout-out to Cage Fury FC and Fight Pass for not only posting highlights from the New Jersey promotion’s latest event, but including slow-motion replays as well.
Makes this Eric Nolan KO that much sweeter.
That Marine has got grenades in his gloves!!!
Eric Nolan is your NEW CFFC WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION!#CFFC142 pic.twitter.com/DnoBSpC9Ru

That left hook is DANGEROUS!!!#CFFC142 pic.twitter.com/9RvRum7As8
— UFC FIGHT PASS (@UFCFightPass) May 25, 2025
Nolan used a gorgeous short left to put Blayne Richards down and claim his welterweight title.
Nick Galanti showed how to deal with pesky wrestling defense and turn that defense into fight-winning offense.
Don’t be silly, JUMP THE GILLY!#CFFC142 pic.twitter.com/hGTbxZLkd4

So slick in slomo!!#CFFC142 pic.twitter.com/ozbNHqijvl
— UFC FIGHT PASS (@UFCFightPass) May 25, 2025
When Shane Sobnosky threw up the whizzer to block a takedown, Galanti didn’t press the issue, instead pulling guard and jumping for the gilly. And there’s the tap.
Busurman Zhumagul, on the other hand, showed how to use your knee to permanently change someone’s jaw shape.
WHAT A KNOCKOUT

Not to encroach on The Brazilian Beast’s Beat (say that three times fast), but we have to showcase Joseilton’s stunning knockout of Carlos “Don’t Call Me Seth” Petruzzella at LFA 209 in Mato Grasso.
Insane KO! #LFA209 pic.twitter.com/IjFBkAB4hK
— UFC FIGHT PASS (@UFCFightPass) May 25, 2025
This was a matchup of undefeateds and Santos just crowned Petruzzella to take his 0.
Laura Vasconcelos vs. Laura Fontoura
If I can steal one more from the Brazil beat (sorry, Gui!), here’s some Laura on Laura violence for you to enjoy from Jungle Fight 136 in Sao Paulo.
— TV Globo (@tvglobo) May 25, 2025
With a swift head kick, Laura Vasconcelos improved to 5-0 and successfully defended her strawweight title. Clearly one to watch as she approaches her 25th birthday this July.
Shukhrat Mirovazov vs. Javokhir Chorchiev
For this last clip, we’re going back a little further than usual, all the way to May 18 for Day 2 of the Alexander Serdyukov Memorial even in Voronezh, Russia. We like to keep things current around here, but this knockout only recently surfaced thanks to Fedor’s nephew (not Fedor’s actual nephew… we don’t think) and it’s too good not to spread as far and wide as possible.
Judge for yourself.
KO of the year contender by Shukhrat Mirovazov 10 seconds into the fight pic.twitter.com/iYtYmCet2V
— Fedor’s nephew (@FdrNphw) May 25, 2025
We started off with a 2-second spin kick knockout, but in terms of sheer brutality, Shukhrat Mirovazov’s performance is hard to beat.
