Mayra Bueno Silva is returning to the flyweight division.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that Bueno Silva will face Jasmine Jasudavicius at UFC Saudi Arabia on Feb 1. Ag.Fight was first to report the matchup.
Bueno Silva began 2024 fighting for the women’s bantamweight title in the co-main event os UFC 297. “Sheetara” dropped an unanimous decision to Raquel Pennington in her first championship bout, and then went on to get stopped in the second round by Macy Chiasson at UFC 303 in June. The 33-year-old will compete at flyweight for the first time since losing a decision to Manon Fiorot at UFC Vegas 40 in October 2021.
Jasudavicius makes her ninth walk to the octagon as she looks to extend her win streak to four. In her most recent outing, the Canadian flyweight standout finished Ariane da Silva at UFC Edmonton earlier this month.
