Connor Hughes just sent a statement to all the lightweights in the PFL.
On Saturday, Hughes faced off with Sebastien Di Franco in the feature fight of PFL Belfast, and the budding English star delivered the best performance of his young career, putting Di Franco to sleep with a devastating right hook in the second round.
Hughes came out strong, setting the tone with his crisp striking and chopping away at Di Franco with low kicks. Then, in the second round, Hughes fired a sharp right hook through the guard of Di Franco, immediately flooring him and ending the fight. Check out Hughes’ big highlight below.

Hughes finished as runner-up in the 2024 PFL Europe lightweight championship, losing to Jakub Kaszuba in the finals last year. This win over Di Franco now moves Hughes on to the semifinals of the 2025 PFL Europe lightweight championships, where he will face Gino van Steenis next.
