Arman Tsarukyan accidentally kicks his coach out of the cage during training session

UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan might want to have a word with whoever is in charge of keeping the cage door closed during training sessions at his gym.

On Tuesday, Tsarukyan posted a video showing him hitting pads with one of his coaches and a spinning back kick ended in disaster after the unnamed coach went flying backwards through an open door before crashing on the ground.

Tsarukyan reacted appropriately throwing his hands into the air and running out to check to see if his coach was OK.

“Can somebody please keep the cage closed?” Tsarukyan said about the video posted on Instagram.

A little bit of levity from Tsarukyan after he’s had a frustrating start to 2025 when it comes to his fighting career.

Originally scheduled to face then lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in January, Tsarukyan suffered a last second back injury that forced him out of the fight. As a result, UFC CEO Dana White declared that Tsarukyan had to win at least one more fight before the promotion would put him back into another title fight opportunity.

Most recently, Tsarukyan weighed in as the backup for the UFC 317 main event where Ilia Topuria knocked out Charles Oliveira to become the new lightweight champion after Makhachev left the division to chase the welterweight title.

Tsarukyan is still awaiting news on his next fight with nothing booked since his unfortunate injury in January.
