The next WEMO Virtual Mentorship Program meeting will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 12-1 p.m! The meeting will be hosted by and for WEMO members. Any member, regardless of years of experience, is welcome to participate.
Following the release of MMA’s recent report, A Perfect Storm: Cities and Towns Face Historic Fiscal Pressures, this mentorship meeting will provide attendees a forum to connect with their peers to discuss the fiscal challenges facing their communities.
Discussion Prompts:
• What are the key fiscal pressures currently affecting your community, and which public services are most impacted or at risk?
• Can you share any innovative solutions you have implemented or are planning to implement to address these challenges?
• How are you communicating with residents about your community’s budgetary challenges?
Attendees are also encouraged to come with any question or challenge they’re currently dealing with in their capacities as elected municipal officials–regardless of topic–and share them in small groups for peer discussion and feedback. Please note MMA and WEMO are non-partisan organizations, so discussions about elections and campaigns are prohibited.
All Virtual Mentorship Program meetings are free to attend.
