Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira are finally set to meet again with the light heavyweight title going up for grabs when they clash in the main event at UFC 320, which goes down on Oct. 4 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In the co-main event, Merab Dvalishvili looks to defend his bantamweight title for the third time in 2025 when he faces Cory Sandhagen.

A third fight added to the card sees former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka return to action against hard-hitting contender Khalil Rountree Jr.

UFC CEO Dana White announced the matchups on Tuesday.

For Ankalaev, he has a chance to cement himself as champion after beating Pereira to win the title back in March with a unanimous decision over Pereira. Ever since then, Ankalaev has been pushing to book the rematch so he could hopefully vanquish Pereira once and for all.

The fight serves as Pereira’s opportunity to climb back to the top of the light heavyweight mountain after he suffered his first loss at 205 pounds to Ankalaev. Prior to that setback, he rattled off five straight wins in the division including four in title fights.

As for Dvalishvili, he’ll compete for the third time in 2025 as he attempts to fulfill his promise to remain one of the most active champions on the entire UFC roster. He already dispatched Umar Nurmagomedov and Sean O’Malley earlier in the year but now Dvalishvili takes on a noted striker in Sandhagen, who has been itching for his chance to finally compete for UFC gold.

Finally, the fight between Prochazka and Rountree could easily determine the next No. 1 contender at 205 pounds with both athletes coming off impressive wins.

Prochazka dispatched former champion Jamahal Hill by TKO back in January and then Rountree earned a win over Hill by decision in June. Now they’ll meet with the winner in a great position to potentially challenge Ankalaev or Pereira in the future.

More fights are expected to be added to the UFC 320 card in the coming weeks.
