Watch Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev full fight video highlights from their UFC 313 main event showdown Saturday night, courtesy of multiple outlets.

Pereira vs. Ankalaev took place March 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Alex Pereira (12-3) and Magomed Ankalaev (20-1-1, 1 no-contest) squared off in the main event clash. The fight aired live on pay-per-view on ESPN+.

Official decision: Magomed Ankalaev def. Alex Pereira via unanimous decision (49-46, 48-47 x2)

Round 1

Marc Goddard is your third man in the cage for the main event.

No glove touch.

Ankalaev staying well out of Pereira’s range, he knows the leg kicks are coming. There’s a couple of low switch kicks from the champion. And another. If Ankalaev doesn’t figure those out, it’s going to be a rough night for him. There’s a leg kick from Ankalaev, not much output from him so far.

Another low kick from Ankalaev. Both fighters being tentative with their hands. Snapping leg kick by Ankalaev. High kick from Pereira, blocked. He’s getting loose with those legs now.

Ankalaev ventures forward with an overhand left. Inside leg kick by Ankalaev. Pereira answers with one on the outside, then another as he leans away from an Ankalaev combo. Front kick from Ankalaev scores.

Ankalaev takes a leg kick and finally shoots in with 30 seconds to go. Pereira gets his back to the fence and they end the round tangled up.

Not a lot to score there, but edge to Pereira.

Round 2

Ankalaev wants to jab, but Pereira is controlling range so well and continuing to land leg kicks. Ankalaev bouncing, teasing a level change, but he unleashes a front kick to the body instead. Another Pereira high kick is blocked.

Pereira keeps scraping away at that lead leg. Ankalaev lands a pair of good leg kicks, though. Pereira sticks a short jab in Ankalaev’s face. Snapping leg kick from the champion. Ankalaev with a left hand to the body, but he can’t find an angle for his right hook.

Whoa, big 1-2 from Ankalaev and that backed Pereira up. He’s staying aggressive and scores with a straight left, then a right hook. That’s going to be enough to take the round if Pereira doesn’t respond.

Counter right from Ankalaev. Pereira back to the outside leg kicks, then a crisp jab. Ankalaev letting his hands go with confidence now. Left hand from Ankalaev as he eats a leg kick. Left from Ankalaev followed by a jab. Ankalaev lands a left that staggers Pereira to close the round!

Round 3

Ankalaev opens the third with a series of leg kicks. He scores with a body kick. It’s Pereira who needs to figure something out now or fall behind on the cards. Ankalaev’s footwork is point and Pereira seems unsure of how to attack.

Pereira sticking with kicks to the lead leg. There’s a duck-in from Ankalaev for a takedown, but Pereira sees it well and shrugs him off. Glancing left from Ankalaev. Pereira just chipping away at those legs. Ankalaev rushes in and lands a knee to the body as he looks to grapple, but Pereira circles out.

Pereira blocks another takedown attempt and narrowly misses a haymaker. A pair of counter punches land for Pereira. Ankalaev coming forward with confidence. Big jab by Ankalaev.

Lots of output from Pereira in this round, though, he could have taken it.

Round 4

Ankalaev walks right up to Pereira, then ducks in for a takedown. Solid takedown defense so far as Ankalaev knees his thigh. Ankalaev wants a trip, but Pereira is keeping a firm base. Neither man able to land much in this exchange. A takedown could change everything.

Pereira breaks free, only for Ankalaev to tackle him to the fence again. He can’t get Ankalaev down, but every second they spend there is a second that Pereira isn’t striking. Crowd can boo all they want, Ankalaev has no reason to switch things up right now.

Whoa, Goddard with the separation! And here we go, with about two minutes left in Round 4.

Left hand from Ankalaev scores. Leg kick by Pereira. Ankalaev to the body. Right hand by Ankalaev has Pereira circling away. Short right from Ankaalev into a takedown attempt. Back to the fence they go, less than 90 seconds here.

Knee to the body from Ankalaev. Pereira isn’t getting hurt, but he has to be frustrated. This is how people thought Ankalaev might win this fight.

Round 5

Body kick from Ankalaev to start the final frame. Pereira with another leg kick as he circles. Ankalaev back to the body. He throws wild, but catches Pereira with that right hand. Short left from Pereira. He’ll need more than that, depending how the judges have it.

Inside leg kick by Pereira. Ankalaev has been more adventurous with the hands in this round. High kick by Pereira gets a reaction from Ankalaev. Inside leg kick from Ankalaev. Surprisingly little to score here with two minutes to go.

Quick jab from Pereira. Ankalaev advances but eats another jab. Takedown attempt from Ankalaev with 90 seconds to go, Pereira not giving in easy. Ankalaev threatens to take the back, somehow Pereira still won’t go down.

Little damage from Ankalaev in this round, but did he do enough to stifle Pereira’s offense? We’ll find out soon enough.
