Frank Tate scored a violent knockout against UFC and PFL veteran Alex Nicholson at Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA 8 in Biloxi, Miss., on Friday night.
The heavyweight duo wasted no time as soon as the match started and Nicholson hurt Tate first on the feet, turning the fight into a wild brawl. Tate, a 48-year-old veteran, with a pro MMA record of 7-7, connected a right hand flush on the jaw that had Nicholson’s mouthpiece flying.

“Big” Tate, who competed under the Bellator and Titan FC banners in the past, has gone 2-2-1 in bareknuckle boxing, including a loss to Alan Belcher at BKFC, and now holds a record of 1-1 in bareknuckle MMA.
Nicholson dropped to 3-2 competing in bareknuckle MMA for Gamebred MMA with all five fights ending via first-round knockout.
