Did Drake just doom Mike Tyson before he even sets foot in the ring on Friday night?
The famous rapper from Canada put down a huge wager on Tyson to beat Jake Paul in their boxing match, which airs live globally on Netflix.
Drake showed off the $355,000 bet he put down on Tyson to win with an estimated payout at over $1 million if the 58-year-old heavyweight legend gets the job done.
Unfortunately for Tyson, the “Drake curse” is well known in MMA circles as the multi-time Grammy winner doesn’t exactly have the best track record with his bets.
Of course, Drake isn’t alone backing Tyson as the former champion seems to have a lot of celebrities on his side as he competes as a professional fighter for the first time in nearly 20 years when he squares off with Paul in a special eight round fight.
Tyson hasn’t won a fight since he demolished Clifford Etienne with a brutal first-round knockout back in 2003. He last appeared in the ring back in 2020 when he engaged in an eight-round exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr.
While there was no winner or loser in that fight as an exhibition, Tyson looked far better than most expected in his return to the ring. He’ll attempt to tap into that talent again when he faces Paul on Friday night.
